On May 11, 2013, the bond proposition to construct a new Sabine Elementary School was passed with 66 percent of voters in favor.

Construction has been completed on a new elementary school replacing the former Sabine Elementary School building.

The school is built for a capacity of 740 students on approximately 12 acres bordered by CR 3634 Access Road and Rice Road. It includes classrooms for grades Pre-K through 5 that meet state size requirements, with capabilities to support current and future classroom technology. The new building will feature computer and science classrooms, music room, library, cafeteria, kitchen, activity center and playgrounds. Security features such as an access control system and visual control of classroom wings will also be included.

The new Sabine Elementary School opened its doors to students at the start of the 2015-16 school year.
